This experimental, abstract serigraph by late midwestern artist Paul Chidlaw is a study in graphic shapes, rich colors and intriguing textures. A student at L'École des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau during the 1920's, Chidlaw went on to paint commissions for the WPA, become a revered professor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and mentor art world luminaries like Tom Wesselmann and Jim Dine. He was also an early proponent of Abstract Expressionism. Each unframed print is one-of-a-kind and marked on the back with the artist's estate stamp.
