Block Island
Saturday, May 23rd from 5-7 PM: Opening reception for lauded artist and founder of the Ocean View Foundation Josie Merck. Discover original works in a variety of media that capture summertime vistas and wildlife along Block Island’s iconic Corn Neck Road. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
Saturday, June 27th from 5-7 PM: Opening reception for celebrated painter, author, and New Yorker cartoonist James Stevenson. Discover a collection of original and ethereal oil paintings that explore a range of subject matter, from still life to dreamy interiors, with a singular sense of delight, optimism, and boundless curiosity. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
Saturday, July 18th from 6-8 PM: A book signing with author Shannon Garvey to celebrate her debut novel, June Baby. Set on Block Island, the title is an “old-fashioned love letter to summer” and heartfelt coming of age story. This is the latest book from Jenna Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices imprint and it has received national recognition on The Today Show. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
Saturday, July 25th from 5-7 PM: A book signing with author and architect Thomas Kligerman and photographer Read McKendree to celebrate their gorgeous new tome, Summer by the Sea: Cottages from Watch Hill to Little Compton. Three Block Island homes are included in the title, which celebrates the shingle-style architecture and beauty of the Ocean State. Wine and light refreshments will be served
Saturday, August 8th from 5-7 PM: Opening reception for esteemed multi-media artist Sarah Bird. Join us to celebrate Sarah’s beautiful collection of graphite drawings of the sea. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
New York
Wednesday, June 24th: The debut of “Songs of the Sky | Devotions of Home,” an exquisite collection of large-scale charcoal drawings by artist Erin Fostel.
Thursday, September 17th: The New York Design Center's most popular event, “What’s New, What’s Next,” includes panel discussions, workshops, and book signings that showcase the best in design. More details to come.
