- Dimensions: 6” x 8.5”
- James Schuyler, 1923-1991, was a Pulitzer-prize winning member of the New York School, a vanguard community of artists, painters, and writers, in New York during the 1940’s and 50’s. The work born from this movement is some of our favorite of the twentieth century.
- This first edition of Hymn to Life is especially enviable, as its cover features a painting by Fairfield Porter, another New York School artist.
- This hardback volume features some of Schuyler’s most beloved poems, including “Sunday” and “October.”
- This first edition is in good vintage condition and is a former library book, containing several library stamps and a small catalog sticker on its spine. Its original jacket is housed in a protective plastic sleeve. Please see our detailed photos.
