- A beautiful example of mochaware pottery dating to the early 19th century. First produced in England in the late 1700s and imported to America shortly after, mochaware was originally made for tavern use, prized for its practicality and durability.

- Mochaware's distinctive dendritic pattern is created by dripping an acidic solution onto wet slip, producing the abstract, organic designs reminiscent of sea fans, seaweed, or sprawling tree limbs.

- Today these pieces make beautiful desk accessories, ideal bud vases, and extraordinary objects for any surface.
