- About this blend: A hand-crafted, evocative blend of organic Assam black tea, green cardamom, star anise, ginger, clove, and black pepper, this invigorating Afghani Chai tea may be either steeped or traditionally boiled in water with milk. Add a handful of chopped fresh ginger for additional heat, and sweeten to taste. Fragrant and seductive masala chai is perfect to enjoy anytime and makes your home smell utterly divine.
Measure out desired tea serving, using 1 tsp. tea per 8 oz. of water. We recommend using spring water for best taste. Bring water to a boil, remove from heat, set aside 1 minute before proceeding. Add measured loose chai to teapot, boil for 3 minutes. If desired, add milk and boil for an additional 2 minutes. Place tea strainer over mug, pour tea and serve, sweetening as desired.
