- A beautiful example of mochaware pottery in a rare palette, this footed bowl dates to the early nineteenth century.

- Originally used in taverns, mochaware was first produced in England in the late 1700's and imported to America in the early 19th century. Since its inception, it has been beloved for its practicality and day-to-day durability.

- Mochaware’s dendritic pattern is created by dripping an acidic solution on the wet slip of the pottery. The resulting reaction creates the abstract designs we love, reminiscent of a sea fan, seaweed, or sprawling tree limbs.

- In recent years, the craze for this pottery has skyrocketed and its signature motifs and color combinations have become iconic. The palette of this piece is especially rare and highly coveted.

- Introducing a new series of oil paintings by beloved Hudson Valley-based artist Mary Breneman. Inspired by early American modernists like Milton Avery and Arthur Dove, as well as the painterly realism of Fairfield Porter, Breneman’s latest collection includes iconic Block Island vistas, 19th century American architecture, lush landscapes, and intimate still life works.

- A gorgeous palette of blue and green coupled with graphic banding make this antique Staffordshire pitcher one of our favorite ceramic finds to date.

- Made between 1820-1830, this piece feels surprisingly modern. Fill it with fresh cut blooms or use it for service at your table.

- The English county of Staffordshire has a rich history of pottery production dating to the 17th century. The region's abundant resources propelled it to become a leading ceramic center, especially during the 18th and 19th centuries when export of ceramics to Europe and America began to boom. Pottery made in this region is highly collectible and includes many familiar forms, like beloved porcelain dogs and figures. Today, the name remains synonymous with the tradition of fine handmade tableware.

- One of our favorite Wedgwood designs, the Nautilus pattern reimagines plates in graceful shell form, with simple ribbing and a curved shape. 

- No longer in production, this sought-after pattern was first introduced in the late 19th century and continued to be produced through the mid-20th century. We love its finish and elegant details. 

- Established in 1759 in Burslem, England by 19-year-old potter Josiah Wedgwood, the Wedgwood china company is synonymous with enduring design and a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship in the United Kingdom.

- Sarah Desmarais works in a variety of media including oil paint, collage and gouache. Her compositions are developed slowly, both in the studio and in the landscape, often using collage to play with novel arrangements of pattern, colour and texture. She loves the role of accident, serendipity and happenstance in the making process, considering her materials and surroundings as very active collaborators in the creation of the finished work.

- Sarah trained as a fine art painter at Central School of Art in London, before moving to rural Provence, where she focused on landscape painting, working en plein air and in a variety of media. Over the next ten years in France, her work– initially a figurative response to particular places– became progressively more abstract, and derived from an internal world of dreamlike landscape imagery, often dominated by the sea.

- Sarah now lives in a small town on the south coast of England, where the tides, fishing boats and weathered coastal environment continue to inspire her. She is represented by galleries in the UK and the US. In parallel with her fine art practice, she has pursued an interest in the community arts. In 2016, she gained a PhD from University of the Arts London, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, for research into the therapeutic uses of creative groups, and has facilitated arts-for-health groups in a variety of settings. She was recently a recipient of funding from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Fund for a month-long printmaking residency in Venice. Landscape continues to be central to Sarah’s practice as an artist. She makes frequent trips to remote coastal locations in the UK, the US and the Balearic Islands to walk and draw.

- Our studio is proud to offer a collection of original oil paintings by the late James Stevenson, a celebrated artist, New Yorker cartoonist, and author. 

- Stevenson is best known for the work produced during his 50-year tenure at The New Yorker magazine: 79 iconic covers, 1,988 cartoons, plus numerous Talk of the Town features that he both illustrated and wrote. Born in Manhattan in 1929, James grew up in Croton-on-Hudson and worked as an office boy at The New Yorker while on summer vacation. He went on to attend Yale University, serve in the Marines, and work as a reporter for Life magazine. He joined The New Yorker as an "idea man" in 1956. Away from the title, he was the author and illustrator of more than 100 delightful children's books. Later, he became a contributor to The New York Times where he began a series for the Op-Ed page titled "Lost and Found New York." His prolific artistic practice is beautifully chronicled in Sally Williams' documentary film, Stevenson: Lost and Found, which was released after his death in 2017 at the age of 87. 

- Curated with Stevenson’s wife, the artist Josie Merck, the series includes imaginative oils on canvas that explore varied subject matter– from printed ephemera to still life, intriguing figure studies to dreamy interiors. All bear the hallmark of a boundlessly curious mind, optimistic point of view, and singular, delightful eye.

- Stevenson’s legacy lives on through the artist residency founded by his wife in Cos Cob, Connecticut, The Lost & Found Lab. The Lab’s mission is to provide a work and living space to visual artists, scholars, curators, writers, composers, arts professionals and interdisciplinary thinkers drawn to exploring the relationship between visual art and the written word.

- A true collector's item, this glamorous vintage checkerboard was designed by Italian design maestro Romeo Rega.

- Born in Rome, Rega began his career working primarily in forged iron. In the 1970's, he began to collaborate with Gabriella Crespi and Willy Rizzo, champions of the Modernist Glam aesthetic that remains in vogue today. Rega's material selection then expanded to include brass, lucite, and chrome. His signature pieces are clean-lined with an emphasis on geometric shapes and luxe, polished surfaces.
