The vintage textile used to craft this one-of-a-kind throw pillow reminds us of a dream-like watercolor. In fact, it's a piece of a vintage nankeen panel, a centuries-old Chinese dyeing technique. Traditionally, nankeen textiles were gifted to newly married couples and pregnant women as symbols of good luck, prosperity and protection against evil. 3,000 years later, these fabrics are still made by hand using natural vegetable indigo dye and soy-bean paste.
This one-of-a-kind pillow is backed in linen with a down and feather insert. Please see our detailed photos.
