- Heralded as one of the 20th century's most important and acclaimed designers, John Dickinson created imaginative, often surreal furniture and lighting. After attending the Parsons School of Design in New York, Dickinson established his own firm in San Francisco in 1956, decorating for private clients and creating sculptural furniture from unexpected materials. In his hands, galvanized steel was fashioned into a fabric draped console, plaster was used to create tables and lamps with tree limbs or anthropomorphized feet. His designs beautifully merged utility with aesthetic innovation, earning him a dedicated following of high-end collectors. Dickinson died in 1982 at age 63 and despite a relatively short career, his work has only become more coveted and influential. 

- This vintage footed table was cast from an original Dickinson mold and artfully reproduced in an editioned, estate-authorized series by Sutherland, an acclaimed contemporary furniture maker. Instead of plaster, this piece is made of glass fiber reinforced concrete, meaning it can withstand the outdoor elements. This particular design is no longer part of the Sutherland edition series, making it an especially rare find. 

- This piece is stamped on its underside to confirm its authenticity. Made entirely from concrete, it is heavy and extremely sturdy.
