This abstract artwork by first-generation Italian American artist Achillo 'Achi' Sullo plays with simple shapes and graphic colors. A student at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as well as a World War II veteran and D-Day survivor, Sullo explored Impressionism early in his career before turning to abstraction. He's best known for his paintings of organic, pared down forms in vivid colors.
We floated this piece and framed it in simple, crisp white with UV-protectant plexiglass. It has the eye-catching presence to stand on its own or act as a modern counterpoint on an eclectic gallery wall. We've also added horizontal and vertical hanging wires to the back so you can display it any way you choose. Another abstract gouache by Sullo is available for purchase separately.
This artwork is in excellent condition with a very small loss on its lower right corner. Please see our detailed photos. The back of the piece is marked with the artist's estate stamp.
