In this one-of-a-kind abstract serigraph, the late Paul Chidlaw explores dream-like forms in blue, purple, green and orange. The eye-catching palette and organic shapes would make a striking focal point in any setting. We floated the print so you can appreciate its imperfect edges and framed it in simple white. And as a bonus, we added horizontal and vertical wires to the back so you can hang it any way you choose.
A student at L'École des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau during the 1920's, Paul Chidlaw had a varied and prolific career in the art world. He painted commissions for the WPA, became a revered professor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and mentored luminaries like Tom Wesselmann and Jim Dine. He was also an early proponent of Abstract Expressionism. Chidlaw passed away in 1989.
